All over the world, BOAR Gin from the Black Forest is awarded gold medals in renowned competitions. The German Agricultural Society (DLG) awards gold and certifies it to be the best gin among Germans. At the Global Spirit Awards in Las Vegas, BOAR Gin is named the best gin and the best clear spirit in the world. In New York, the BOAR still was recently voted “Distillery of the Year”.
The traditional distillery breaks new ground in terms of taste and quality in the production of fine distillates. She refines and harmonizes her BOAR Gin with the mineral-rich mountain spring water and the rare Black Forest truffle. This globally unique manufacturing process gives this London Dry Gin a mild, complex aroma profile and a special identity.
As early as 2011, a little monkey made the Black Forest known worldwide as a pleasure region. Now one of the best gins in the world comes again from the Black Forest and has convinced the jurors in 34 international competitions on many continents to date.
“In our Black Forest still we still distill with heart, hand and wood from our own forest”, says Markus Kessler, the great-great-great-grandson of Andreas Kessler, who founded his distillery 175 years ago.
The namesake and icon of the BOAR Gin is a real native inhabitant from the pristine forests of the Black Forest - the wild boar (the male wild boar; English BOAR).
